30 pm (2x8s & 2x10s) Job o Endoscopy nurses are responsible for sedating patients before procedures, administering the necessary medication to patients, and keeping the patient informed throughout the duration of the procedure, among other duties.
o Olympus Product set-up, handling, and reprocessing.
o The GI Lab RN is an integral part of all patient interactions.
o The RN assesses the patient's physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status, and performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention.
o The GI Lab RN participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
o They implement the plan of care according to identified physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
o They assist the GI physician during colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures and perform patient education, including those related to the procedures and general dietary education.
Recommended Skills Assessments Patient Assessment Psychosocial Colonoscopy Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
