Pathology Prep Tech, FT Days
With minimal supervision, the Pathology Prep Tech performs a variety of functions in the pathology department, including specimen receipt, patient registration, specimen accessioning and processing.
Finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Must have great attention to details and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
Must begin and complete all assignments with minimal supervision.
Data entry skills, ability to follow protocols which are dependent upon specimen types, specimen adequacy, and the individual needs of clinicians and pathologists.
Experience required:
Some clinical laboratory experience.
Education required:
High School diploma or equivalent----Associate degree in Science preferred.
