Jean's Credit Union is seeking a Teller (Part-Time up to 25 hours, per week).
Qualifications High School degree or GED required Preferably, 1-3 years cash handling experience in Banking with customer service experience.
Minimum of 1 year demonstrated customer experience, ability to recommend and refer products and services to members.
Retail experience may be considered.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong listening and communication skills Ability to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and members through collaboration.
Commitment to build relationships through in-person member interactions Ability to effectively ask open ended and fact finding questions and identify needs to enhance the member relationship.
Discuss and educate St.
Jean's products and services, to help determine the members needs.
You will perform a wide range of transactional duties to serve the membership by receiving or paying out functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashier's checks, money orders, travelers checks and cash advances.
Balance each day's transactions and verify cash totals with high degree of accuracy.
Perform specific tasks and assist other tellers with a variety of duties as required.
Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to member issues Comply with Financial policies and procedures, federal, state local laws and regulations Individual should be a self-starter and be technically literate Comfortable with using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals Energetic, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask effectively Consistently contribute to retail goals and continually build relationships.
Ability to handle and make independent decisions regarding complex member transactions, and to seek help from the head teller or the manager on duty for elevated issues.
Participate and apply all required training.
Complete all required on-line and classroom assignments.
Actively seek out ways to better increase my knowledge of credit union products and services to better contribute to my department and the credit union.
Ability to cross train in backing up other Tellers and Head Teller and fill-in coverage, as needed.
Job Requirements Ability to stand and remain standing for up to three hours at a time without a break Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings Currently our branch hours of operations are Monday to Wednesday, 8:

00pm and Saturday, 8:

30pm, Saturday coverage and weekday off are scheduled in advance.
